I have Plans for a huge knitting-related post to satisfy the clamouring hordes (hi, Amanda!) but that involves pictures, which involves getting home with daylight left* and that involves the traffic not being so bad that I just want to get out of my car and bite someone.
In the meantime, stare at the picture below until it starts to move, and repeat over and over "I'm going to Calgary on the May long weekend... I'm going to Calgary on the May long weekend..."
* Having a range of tall hills to the west really impacts the time and duration of sunsets. Who knew?

Oh, and W? I think I might become offended, if I let myself, at the suggestion that driving to another province to pretend to be a mythical creature for a night is a perfectly legitimate action, while doing it to see a friend who's come ALL THE WAY FROM CALIFORNIA and that you HAVEN'T SEEN FOR MONTHS needs any justification. Hmph. :)

Wheras visiting...it doesn't get a capital letter. If you were coming into town to hold an Event of some type, whether it had mythical creatures of the night or not, it might be different.
I don't know why, but mentally Structured Socializing always seems to have a huge jump on Unstructured Socializing. Maybe it links to one of the geek fallacies or something... ;)
